The Art Ship was an old abandoned Navy boat, the USS Crescent City, down by Jack London Square in Oakland, CA, that had been converted to artist's use from 1991-2004. Many projects of all sorts took place there, including one of audio recordings of solo improvisations that were recorded at various parts of the ship and put on 3" CDs. This was one I did in 2003.
